Machines Teach Humans How to Feel Using Neurofeedback | Singularity Hub.

When I first read this, it seemed like a good therapy for aspies to improve social blindness. Then it became obvious that the method explains how individuals become sensitized to non-typical sexuality such as pedophilia. And it might work the other way also…

More generally, used as a model to explain natural development or even mind control — the point is to set up a feedback loop to increase emotional reward — resulting in brain changes. That suggests the same method could be used to curb appetite, gambling, or to promote exercise.

I learned this last weekend that’s what screenwriters do also using “beats,” series of emotional hooks.  So if you or your family members are “hooked on entertainment” — it might be time to sue!

  1. G’day, Brother!

Well, you know how effective the beats are on a thousands of people, at once, at a rock concert. Everyone gets into it – whether you like the band or not!

This troubles me. I see why we, especially as believers in the Lord of Lords, King of Kings, need the Holy Spirit in our lives. And also, another indicator to the perilous times that we live in because of these tools and instruments that are produced which are able to influence peoples conscious and conscience, and/or as you said “brain changes”. If it can alter the conscience to be desensitized to something so extreme.. what about influencing to not cope with the concept of Jesus?

The opposite, too, with the mind control.. all them years ago, the ruskies had a rogue arrow who was able to land that Firefox plane off of the mainland which later a certain japanese company, that also specialized in music instruments, developed a keyboard that with sensors attached to the player would perform the music based on the persons emotions/thoughts. Imagine, pardon the pun, if you were a musician like John Lennon and the music that could be composed! Only had to think about it and do re mi.. music!

Ps.. not that I a big John Lennon fan… 🙂

    God bless!

  2. Hey my brother!

Imagine, pardon the pun, if you were a musician like John Lennon and the music that could be composed!

@ JL: “imagine … livin’ for today … no religion … nothin’ to die for” as an emotional vibe, and a spiritual connection, and a hook…

Then what we should look for is a hive mind application, where they sync “the entertainer” to the audience — on a neural level — for instance with “binaural beats.” So in the scenario you noted the emotional beat might key directly to the stereo beat, as a direct expression of the musical thought performance and emotional state of the performer. There’s a concept of entrainment (see below), where the beats come into sync… and then the crowd responses would be fed back directly to the performer, say a collective of the audience’s neural emotional centers firing, reflecting whatever mix of emotions….

    No surprise google is involved…

Yet they don’t get (or don’t care) that enemy angels might take advantage of such states.

    1st John 4

1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Peter, as a musician, I appreciate that you may be able to express exalted praise (even the songs of angels) through a more direct expression of the music of your heart. So, there well may be a right way that connects spiritually in high praise through Christ.
